ALS, [1776 January], [Boston], to Mrs. Hancock.

A hurriedly written note to his wife Dolly that accompanies a letter to a Captain McPherson relating the death of his son. Writes of General Montgomery's death. This would have been assault on Quebec on December 31, 1775.
